Doubt in Steve Cripps RF Power Amplfiier for Wireless Communications book

Hi everybody,
This question goes to all PA designers/enthusiasts. In the most classic book bu Steve Cripps, 2nd edition at pp 47, there is an expression for the device current id. There is a term Imax/2. I think that the right quantity there is Imax instead of Imax/2 otherwise there is a conflict with the arguments in the rest of the Chapter. Does anybody have the same question? Am i missing something important?
