EMC, antennas, RF systems, microwaves jobs in Europe
What are the job prospects in the areas above-mentioned (look - topic title)?
For remind:
- EMC (widely understood electromagnetic compatibility, especially with respect to the measurement, research)
- Antennas (design some more advanced, complex antenna systems, research, tests, etc.)
- RF circuits, microwaves
About earnings don't ask rather (possibly if someone works/worked, and can give a specific amount) - probably all depends on the person, company. Electromagnetism (listed areas) is sure difficult, but interesting. What good to know? Is mathematics very useful? For example: integrals, differential calculus, etc.? Where can I look for a job without experience, or some training and practices?
Maybe someone worked in topics? If someone wrote a few words about his work, would be nice.
I can understand your concerns but as a person who had done all of this, I can say nobody knows for sure how the future turns out.
I loved electrical and electronic things, and tried to build many. In 1956 I have entered the local radio club, OK1KPZ. This was my best education, better than any university I had to pass later, including Ph.D. I learned there also to teach others which was my best qualification as I became a professor and researcher.
If you feel you like electromagnetism, go for the best education you can find. My Ph.D. tutor gave me the best possible advice " read something". I did, and I was successful. I never tried to find a job, I was always invited to do research , science, and my dream job. I just retired from that all.
EMC is mostly pursued in EU and national "state" laboratories responsible for keeping standards. Or, find a job at a university with such research program. You should bring new ideas, try to establish a business or join others.
Mathematics is good to learn when young, later only academics need it all. Knowledge and practice should go together. Learn anything you can, everything may be a good find later.
Learn English and other languages, now Chinese is the best choice. Your views will expand with learning about other cultures.
Go for it with a full force! Try to learn whatever you can. Find a practical training, or try to study abroad. Europe and the world are full of offers.
Several years ago I talked with a German Ph.D. student who chose to study in Spain. To my question why, he told me: In Spain I can use English at the University, learn Spanish, and they are happy to have me here. In Germany I would have to stand in a long line. The quality of research is the same, our team leader is a Japanese, and in the town I can find nice ladies and good food.

Borders are only a challenge to be crossed or broken. I was lucky I lived to see borders broken.
By the way, your name "ruido" means "noise' in Spanish. I learned to love noise, and used it in many microwave experiments. If you are interested, google "microwave noise fields".

It's in my district a "HAM Radio Club" and I contacted with members. Somewhere in this forum found I for example the company "IMST". I'm learning German over ten years - this can be an advantage. Of course, I need to learn English. And of course - electromagnetism.

There is so much literature now! I remember Starr: Microwave Engineering, Harvey, the same, and many more.

For NASA, I think so. It is American stile and they has real results. At small towns behavior is different , typically they want to see what they wants. And very often missing with colors white and black.
