Reason for chosing hemt devices

what are the reasons for choosing HEMT devices for microwave operations except mobility of electron and low power?

And especially for DSN receivers (Deep Space Network) the cryogenic cooled HEMT are capable of significantly lower noise than any other processes at the same cryogenic temperatures.
