Square Resonator Filters

时间:04-01 整理:3721RD 点击:
Im looking at simulating some square resonating filters. However, using ADS momentum is too slow to obtain the results.

Using ADS circuit simulations may not be accurate too, since it is unable to simulate the coupling of the corners of the square resonators. It can only simulate the coupling sides and open gaps, not coupling corners.

AWR Microwave Office... is 2 and 1/2 simulation.... not accurate...

Any cool suggestiongs/ideas from the floor?

Thank you....

Hi, Ray:

You can try IE3D. It is a 3D MOM code focusing on planar structures. You can get a free evalulation license from www.zeland.com. I am from zeland.

Best regards,

Actually, im trying to avoid EM simulations due to time constraints. Moreover, EM simulations do not allow you to do parameter sweeps like circuit simulations. Does IE3D allow parameter sweeps?

Hi, ZincBear:

For most small and medium size structures, IE3D is quite fast. For example, a typical microstrip low-pass or band-pass filters may take 1-2 seconds per frequency point. If your resonators are square shapes, it may be slightly slower. However, it will not be very slow.

The latest IE3D has the FastEM Design Kit allow you to manually or automatically tune your structure. After the parameterization and some preparation, you can get real-time full-wave EM results. Regards.
