HFSS geometry building problem

时间:04-01 整理:3721RD 点击:
hi,

i'm designing a cassegrain reflector antenna , initially i like to design the feed horn and the shaped subreflector in HFSS, but i don't know how to build the shaped reflector which is not exactly a hyperboliod but is a special shape defined by an equation.
so if anybody know the procedure to make it(from equation or points to a 3D shape) , kindly share it on this forum

with regards
abhi

if you have hfss 10, then you can simply go to
draw>equation based curve
you WILL however have to worry about the type of co-ordinate system that you are using.. but if its 3d cartesian, you generally shouldnt have a problem..

otherwise i guess you will have to use scripting commands to create the geometry.. check the attachment for this purpose..

another option would be to create the structure in some other package and then import it into HFSS.. autocad or mathcad i mean.. check what all packages are supported under import in 3D Modeller menu..

please press the helped me button IF this has been any help.. spread the karma around!

regards,
