I am trying to calculate the integral of poynting vector over a surface using hfss 10. The problem is the result from the fields calculater does not fit the plot of poynting vector created on that surface at the same time.
Here is what i did for calculating the integral:
1 Geometry->choose the created surface S;
2 Add realpoyntingvector to stack;
3 Geometry->choose the created surface S;
4 Normal;
5 Integrate;
6 Eval
Could anyone tell me whether it is the problem of my calculation or something else?
Thx

The vector RealPointing has components in every direction. With the function normal you pick only one.
What do want to do? Calculate the mean on this surface? Then you forgot to divide by the size of the surface.
