some questions about exporting original field data

Recently I need to know where is the original field data file and what is the meaning of these files.


I find that original field data are stored as bsp bst btn type file. I think these files are binary file. When I open these file with bintoascii tool, I only read a lot of numbers. I do not know what the meaning of these numbers.

If I cannot export field data from that file, my professor ask me to find whether I can call calculator with matlab. Is it possible for HFSS to be called by matlab/

yes, HFSS engine can e called from matlab in a similar manner to VB scripting language.

Could one provide any example how to get field data from HFSS to Matlab?

Unfortunately, as far as I understand, Vijay Ramasami (the author of API) does not implemented field export feature.
