fdtd tutorial
i m just a beginner and studing fdtd from last couple of days. i have concepts of maxwell equations.
anybody plz tell me what may be the sequenvce of steps those leads me to understand the basics fdtd concepts. i hope somebody will get my problem.
thaks in advance
see methods of electromagnetics by Sadiku, i think it has solution of wave equation using FDTD
thanks for reply
but where i can get that book "methods of electromagnetics by Sadiku"
is there any link of it....
thanks
Search in this forum the book is alreaady uploaded in the book sections
search sadiku
try "Computational Electrodynamics" by Allen Taflove
U can also search "TOYFDTD" in the forum u will get very good quality of FDTD code written both in C and Fortran
Hi
Sadiku's bok title is "Numerical techniques in Electromagnetics".
For a beginner, "Electomagnetic Simulation using FDTD Method" by sullivan is good. It has plenty of C codes, but some of them may not work (u should modify)
Kunz & Luebbers book "The Finite Difference Time Domain Method for Electromagnetics is also good". It has a very good fortran implementation.
All these books are available in the e-books section for download.

Added after 6 minutes:
The best tutorial on FDTD that I had seen is Prof. J Schneider's course notes. Other good course notes are by Prof. Stephen Gedney and Prof. Dennis M Prather.
You can search the net to find these course materials
But the best ever book on FDTD is Taflove's Computational Electrodynamics: The Finite Difference Time Domain Method.

Here are the web links to course notes

Dennis W Prather's website link:

Click on the "Classes" link and select the link "EE 840: Advanced Computational EM" under Fall 2002.

Prof Gedney's site link:

Click the "Classes Offered by S. Gedney" link and then select the link "EE 624 " link from next page.
