Building a computer for HFSS

I work in Microwave Electrical Engineering Lab and I have been assigned the task of building a computer (using less than S2000) to do HFSS simulations on...
I was wondering a couple things about hardware configurations and was hoping some people on here might have some ideas...
1) Should I use a server motherboard and 2 Xeon processors or a desktop motherboard with an i7?
2) Is sticking with Windows XP better or should I try to use Win 7? Ansoft Says that "almost" everything is supported in Win 7.......
3) Is there any specific GPU that works really well with HFSS? Like Workstation GPU's that have drivers specifically made to work well with Ansoft Software.
4) How important is Hard drive speed and seek time? Will a 15000rpm perform comparably to SSD? Is it worth the extra money to go past a 7200rpm?
I know there are a lot of variables involved with simulation speeds but any ideas would be appreciated, Thanks a lot
