I want to simulate Cylindrical microstrip antenna using HFSS i dont know how to curve a patch on cylindrical base can any one help me,

plZ reply i found this subject but nobody reply with a concrete answer (using HFSS)
thanx in advanced

You are not receiving much response because your question is vague and it appears that you have not put much effort into the question. That may not be the case, but that is the appearance.. Do some work and define what you want with specifics. You will probably then get a more positive reaction.

Here is one way to put a rectangular patch on a cylinder: Simply look at the intersection of a cylinder and a rectangular solid with the axis orthogonal to the cylinder axis. Think of an arrow stuck in the side of a telephone pole. You can interest the two primitive 3D shapes to create a patch. You could detach an appropriate face to create your patch. I can think of a number of ways to proceed, this is just one.

thanx, but now on HFSS12 there is a easier way you can just imprint the damm thing :), but at the time in HFSS10, well, lets just say it wasnt that easy,

PD:im colombian sorry for my english :)

1PD: do you know any offical forums on HFSS o EM modeling and simulation (like this one for CFDhttp://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ansys/) i would really a appreciate it

As I said, there are various ways to solve the problem. I suggested one.

Ansoft/Ansys has an extensive network of application engineers available worldwide. Their site has additional information and if your maintenance is up to date (e. g. paid) in what they
call OTS, on line technical support.
