hai all...
i really ur help in design hairpin filter
can u give me an idea how to start the design
may i hv a step of this design calculation

The first thing you need is a set of specifications: Center Frequency and Bandwidth will do for a start.

I haven't heard the term "hairpin filter" used for anything other than radio frequency signals (GHz, not KHz). The topic was addressed here a few years ago. See https://www.edaboard.com/thread30059.html.

Jeff

can i use the calcution for the coupled line to the hairpin design?
any suggestion

An hairpin filter is a kind of folded edge coupled filter. You can/have to use coupled line model.
I don't know if you have access to ADS. MWO, ... or such EDA softwares, but they have integrated tools to help designing such filters.

im using AWR... actually im stuck at this hairpin design calculation

sorry I do not use MWO for years now. But there are for sure specialists here.
here a link for an application note from AWR about designing a u-strip hairpin filter.

tq jiboune256..

who can help me to use AWR in designing hairpin bandpass filter..
i blnk right now

Hi bai86,
Did you read the document in the link I posted 2 posts above?
here again.
This is precisely a step-by-step tutorial from AWR to design hairpin filters.

u can use ifilter in AWR to design a hairpin.
ifilter can be opened in wizard branch in project tab in AWR.
you can see the help about ifilter.
First you select filter type(BPF,LPF……), then select filter realization type(Microstrip, stripline……).
see attached pic

That "s very easy to use .

tq jiboune.. i hv read ur link
