Hi all
I am not able to understand the meaning of input impedance (edge)
in this link

what must be its value for good microstrip antenna

What it means is the radiation resistance at the edge of the patch. and the value is in the order of few hundred ohms depending on the size of patch dimensions and substrate used.

what should be the optimum value for that and how it is used in designing an antenna

There is no such optimal value(Radiation resistance determines the power that is radiated by the antenna,Higher the better) and you can do feed point for the patch using the equation presented in the balanis book or send me over your microstrip patch design,i will do it for you.

also i wanted to learn microstrip antenna designing by hfss thoroughly
kindly guide

Feed point calculations are fairly simple for rectangular and circular patch antennas,you can refer to the equations in many a texts.

when we get to fractals the theme gets rather unexplored and you will have to depend on findings from the journal articles.

there are a plethora of stacked microstrip antennas,some are easy to formulate some arent.

if you want to learn antenna design using HFSS then you will have to start desinging from scratch, there are a plenty of examples in the HFSS manual.
