patch antenna in Sonnet

Recently designed a patch antenna in Sonnet on FR4 board. The design went well, and the measured S11 is very similar to the predicted S11. But the measured gain shows the FR4 material is low Q, and lossy enough to effect the gain significantly.
Is there some way for Sonnet to predict the S21 of this antenna, showing the loss of gain due to the poor FR4 tan del? Or do I need to switch over to HFSS or CST to do this? I a do not necessarily need the full radiation pattern, just a boresight prediction of gain due to dielectric loss.

Sure? If the substrate losses are higher than simulated, the S11 curve will change (more broadband).
You mean the far field pattern/antenna gain? Yes, you can calculate the antenna gain with the "patvu" antenna pattern option. If you don't have a license for that option, you can upload your simulation model and I will run it for you.
