how to increase gain of microstrip patch antenna design in hfss

how to increase gain of microstrip patch antenna design in hfss
gain depend on which parameter
length width or height Er

I have drawn a single patch only not array

you can cut slot in the patch, cutting slots in the patch increases the gain of the antenna or you can have ebg sturcture also it can also increase your gain.
