Hello,
I'm working on a steady state/frequency domain simulation.
I'm simulating a simple 2D structure which consists of 5 rectangular slabs:
vacuum
waveguide-A
vacuum
wageguide-B
vacuum
Now I solved this structure using Matlab and I know what are the propagation constants and the electrical fields associated with them.
My problem is how to properly simulate a scenario where I excite waveguide-A with its mode (as in when waveguide-B doesn't exists) and see how it propagates.
For now, the only boundary conditions that seem to be anywhere near the expected solution are scattering boundary conditions.
I simply place a scattering boundary condition E=0 on all outer boundaries expect one outer boundary of waveguide-A.
On that boundary of waveguide-A I place a scattering boundary condition with E=1.
Any idea?
I'll upload the model later on today.
Thank you in advance,
Ohad.

Hi,
I uploaded the model.
Thanks,
