how to design of circular WG in hfss
i am new to hfss and want to design circular waveguide in hfss11, how can i find the β-f plot for differenr modes?
please provide the guidance about it.
Welcome DhruvJadeJa,
You want to use an Eigenmode simulation, be sure to understand Bloch's theorem and periodic boundary conditions before you proceed. I've previously written up a summary (for planar structures) at https://www.edaboard.com/thread265560.html#post1140645
Good Luck
thank u for ur help....
but i am steel unable to unerstand that u want to say.., can u please describe it more...
Well, that's pretty much a step-by-step process.... is there any specific part that you feel needs further clarification?
can you explain me what type of shape is required for the circular wg,
should i start by taking a cylinderica shape?,
i am also doughtful for excitation of circular wg...
please help if u can.....
Sorry, your question seemed to imply that you were seeking to understand how to plot the dispersion of the waveguide. I'm not too familiar with cylindrical waveguide design, but I'm sure there are great resources on the internet or textbooks such as Pozar or Balanis.
Good Luck
thanks for ur help, i will try my best to get he idea from the suggested books, but if u find any idea please help me....
can anybody help me for the same query..?
