What is XFDTD method and its benefits for FDTD?

XFDTD is a commercial software based on FDTD technique by Remcon. Its little fast but difficult to implement.

xfdtd is fdtd simulation package from remcom company
it is more accurate like cst package,treat with mutli layers ,complecated structures,inhom.,homogenous structures,little fast ,using staircase methods,pml,manual meshing

Yes i agree but its bit more difficult to design in it. Can u give me some example especially coplanar fed planar antenna.

Thanks for your replies! But I didn't get what I wanted. Well, one of my professors told me about a numerical method called "Extended Finite Difference Time Domain" or simply "XFDTD". I hadn't heard it before and I wanted to discover it. So please tell me about it and guide me to know it!

Well in this case its just a coincident but X in XFDTD is not shorted for extended. There are actually other advanced from of basic FDTD.
