perfect magnetic conductor
now i am wondering how can i model PMC ?
what properties should i assign to the PMC block?
i can specify the following properties in my simulation package
permitivity
permeability
electric conductivity
electric loss tangent
magnetic conductivity
magnetic loss tangent
i would appreciate if someone tell me the properties to be assign to PMC.
regards
Just set its out boundaries to PMC.
Its depend on the software which you use. in all of them you can select boundary condition as PMC.for exapmle when you use periodic structure the software autumaticlly use PMC.
well i know i can use boundary conditions to model PEC or PMC but my problem is know simulate PMC and PEC at the same time
you can see the attached figure.
A PMC block is surrounded by PEC block and i want to simulate this in CST MWS
is it posssible to define PMC in cst?
PMC -->set boundary htan=0
well i have already mentioned in my earlier post that we can use boundary conditions htan=0 at the boundary of our solution domain but in my problem PMC is not at the boundary but inside the boundary space of my calculation domain
you can see the attached figure which i posted earlier
thanks anyway
you can define a vacume by htan=0 walls!
If the CAE software does not support PMC or PEC blocks or mixed walls... just take back in mind, that a perfect conductor has "infinite" conductivity, which means... place your material where you need it and give the PEC "block/slice" the electric conductivity of 100e6 or the PMC "block/slice" the magnetic conductivity of 100e6 ...
