这个问题的症结在于操作系统中运行了中文输入法。如果用
ps -elf | grep scim
找出所有的中文输入进程，结束掉这些进程，然后启动Calibre Interactive, 就保证没问题了。
当然，这是Mentor的一个Bug！

解决方法：在开始菜单>system>preferences>more preferences>input method里面选择没有输入法就可以了。
