Job Description: SOC 11
Contribute to embedded software development in one or multiple of the following areas:
Linux OS, bootloader, and other IO driver (HDMI/USB/ETHERNET/SDRAM/FLASH/UART etc);Multi-format audio and video decoder, demultiplexer, graphics;Middleware modules for common STB(set-top-box)/DTV industry protocols;Application modules for various STB/DTV solutions;GUI modules.
Tasks will include:
Developing pre-tapeout software verification test cases;Software design and review;Software programming and review;Software test plan and test module development;Software debug;Customer requirement analysis and customer support.
Qualification:
Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields;
Solid C/C++ programming skill;
Good English writing and reading skills;
Good communication skill, team work spirit, self-motivated;
Senior level positions require minimum 3 years of experience in embedded software development;
New graduates will be considered for entry level positions, while production software development experience is still preferred;
Experience/Skill/Knowledge in multiple of the following areas is preferred:
STB/DTV IC and system industry experience. Multi-media IC and system industry experience;Assembler programming, especially with MIPS ISA;Embedded software environment debug tools;Development of Linux kernel for MIPS-based embedded system. Bootloader/BSP development;Driver development of HDMI, USB, and Ethernet;Various video formats, MPEG2, H.264, AVS, and various audio formats, MPEG1/2/3, AC3, etc;Common STB/DTV industry specs and protocols, in DVB-S, DVB-T, DVB-C, IPTV markets;Knowledge of MFC/STL/Script/Java language;Embedded GUI development and graphic processing tools such as PhotoShop;Software version control system such as clearcase, CVS, mercurial;Bug tracking system such as Bugzilla and clearquest.
