My question is how could fractal geometry helps harmonic supression?

My question is how could fractal geometry helps harmonic supression?
Basically λ/4 length resonator will be used for filter design. the second harmonic of this frequency also can be resonated by this structure. SO filters are harmonic sensitive.
Fractal filters are coupled length are not λ/4 resonators they are further away. due to this they are not completely coupling the energy they do have heavy loss.
