3G signal source in ADS

Hi,

I want to simulated efficiency and output power of a PA by 3G modulated signal. Can anyone tell me which kind of signal source or test bench should be used? I want to simulate them by Harmonic Balance simulation, not in system level. Thanks!

if the signal is modulated the HB will not work , u need to use the Circuit Envelope simulator in ADS

in ADS there is a digital modulated signal source u can use one of them as ur source

I think you are right. I found from examples\RF_Board\NADC_PA_prj a similar example, it uses envelop simulation.

But can you tell me are there any predefined test bench or source in ADS for efficiency simulation in 3G modulated signal?

The 3GPPFDD_UL_Source element is too complex, there are too much parameters. I have no knowedge in system level design. And I think there should be a easier method.

mmm , i don't know if there is some predefined or not
by u need to cgheck amplifier design guide. there maybe some predefined test benchs
