Hi all,
I have two configurations to match antenna to 50Ohm,one is: shunt inductor and series capacitor to 50R,the other is:shunt capacitor and series inductor to 50R.And in smith chart,Both of them is ok.But my workmate suggested me use the first one and desert the other,i do not know why.For there is no DC component ,filter circuit followed it.I think both of them is ok.
Anyone can hlep me ?
thanks

I would use the one that made me travel the least amount of distance around the smith chart to get to the unity conductance (or resistance) circle, depending on your topology. The farther you travel, the more prone you are to small errors adding up on the smith chart.
