I have to enclose my RF design module (2.4GHz) in a metal case.
Module has PCB antenna.
But in this case my transmission range will be affected.
Is there any way to achieve both the goals simultanously. I can make small slots in the metal case.
Is there any specific material for this ?
Is there any good reference for this ?
Please help ...
Thanks in Advance..

You could use a PC card and a five sided shell on one side. The other side of thePC card can have a patch antenna.
you should use the radome in the radiation direction of antenna, and use metalic wall in other directions.
I didn't understood you completely. Can you please give me the references..

Can we design the radome? if yes , please help me with some design examples.
As i understand from inital googling that it is a complete dome.
Replace one of the metal walls of the metal case by a wall made of plastic material. Then the antenna can radiate through the plastic wall.
