Grounded patch

Just finished simple patch antenna for 2.3Ghz (13cm band).
Point is that I need it grounded, so I make it this way, like you can see
on pictures.
Patch is 59x59mm and 3mm from reflector (ground)
What antennas gurus think about that kind of "grounding", good or bad
solution.
I need that feed tomorrow and cant get "SiteMaster" in next few weeks,
so cant measure it.

This ground in “frying pan” shape shall be fine. :D
Theoretically the ground of a patch antenna should be at least the same dimension (or greater) of the patch element.
The only thing that you have to do is to eliminate that metallic screw in the middle, and replace it with a plastic one (or Teflon is better).

I mean "DC ground" for patch element.
That is made with brass M4 screw in the middle of patch.
