hfss lmstat
Can any one tell me whether ADS 2006 & HFSS can be installed on windows vista?
I have Intel core2 duo(64 bit) with windows vista installed.
I heard that these software can not be installed on this kind of machine.
is this true?
what is the solution?

yeah ADS2006 , will not work on windows vista , it need XP , ADS2008 will support vista

If you disable user account control in windows control panel, you can install ads 2005 on vista O.S.

ADS tool can't be installed on Vista.
You need to make a partition on your PC and you install the XP.

im using HFSS V10 in vista...
I tried to install HFSS 11 on vista ( compatible mode) but it dosn't work.
there is an error (license FLEXLM8 ?) .
have anyone oponion on it?

HFSS 11 works fine on Vista-64. You must run the installer in XP compatibility mode since it checks the OS version. FLEXLM8 error may pertain to a parallel port dongle (FLEXLM9 is USB dongle). Use the lmutil.exe utility to check connectivity to a license server:
lmutil lmstat -c portnum@server -a -i

Some times you may face this problem as it frequently ask for confirmation if we are going to write in to the system folders like programming files.
I suggest to install in another drive or different folder then you can install in Vista too
This problem will be observed in laptops which comes with pre-installed vista and no another drive except C:\
