Gain Flatness in Low Noise Amplifier Design

Hi Guys,


Could you let me know some techinques to achieve 1 dB gain flatness in Low noise Amplifier Design. I am designing CMOS LNA for 1.7 to 2.7 GHz band.

Please let me know any techniques tricks or methods to achieve it or shift the gain peak from loewer frequenyc to desired band.

Wideband LNA's have generally cascode structures.In additional to, a negative feedback can be applied to obtain required flatness and bandwidth.
A equalization circuit ay be used at the input to get the desired flatness but this circuit can notbe realized on-chip.

Thanks for your reply. But I believe we generally prefer Cascode fro narrow band and for wide band most of time i have seen folks use shunt and series CS toplology.
