PIFA antenna on (defective grnd plane) EBG substrate-plz hlp

hello every one.

i m designing PIFA antenna on EBG substrate for bluetooth application using IE3D software. the substrate is of defective ground plane. I m getting the bandwidth for bluetooth but the efficiency is around 64%.could anyone can suggest any method to enhance the efficiency.
