About interconnects in 2.4GHz transceiver

Recenterly we worked on a 2.4G transceiver(IC). I wonder if the lines should be considered as transmission lines. According to transmission line theory, when the length of the line is comparable with the signal wave-length, it should be seen as transmission line. But I still feel that these interconnects and vias have some effects on the system performance. How to evaluate the effects of interconnects properly? or should I just leave them out of consideration? I wanna your advices. Thanks!
