i want to be in RF cmos design side so i am going through BOOK : THE DESIGN OF CMOS RADIO FREQUENCY OF INTEGRATED CIRCUITS
by thomas H. LEE
all i wnat to know is what are the prerequesists i have to learn so that i can go through this book as i am beginner of RF design . i have knowledge of cmos analog vlsi design issues as i have gone through baker.
i need guidence how to start and how i can proceed and what are the prerequesites
thanks and regards,

BOOK : THE DESIGN OF CMOS RADIO FREQUENCY OF INTEGRATED CIRCUITS
Any links ?
Hi,
Thomas Lee's book is pretty simple to read and he explains the basic concepts pretty well. If you have some Analog background, it just makes things easier. If you have some Microwave experience, it helps, but this is not needed.
I just read it but thank for your report
hi odyseus
your rf tutorial is very good iam looking this type of tutorials and thank for uploading these tutorials and i have a project that was designing of LNA with 2 stage and specifications are
freq:1.42GHz
n.f:<0.5db
bandwidth:20MHz
gain:>20db
iam attaching all my circuits step by step.
please can you check all my circuits if you have time...and im using ADS s/w for my simulation. and i have to fabricate and implement also.
for this design im using amplifier utility from design guide in ADS s/w.
for matching im using designguide....tools....smith chart from ADS s/w
please see all the attachments in following link

thank u
waiting for u r reply
man!
Thanks! where can I find your tutorials on ADS?
has any one solution manual
of
mpozar 3rd edition i need it plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Arkamu,
there is a topic with this book wher tou can download. Other way is to send me an e-mail and I send it you!
thadeuarj@gmail.com
you can download solution manual microwave by pozar edition 3 from link:
https://www.edaboard.com/viewtopic.p...book+microwave
RFDesign byThomas Lee is very good as it covers a broad area of concepts in an intuitive manner... Very useful and interesting... covers the concepts of Bandgaps in the best way...
It even contains a set of design examples for GPS receivers...
hello to everyone!i need some help so i'm going to ask anyone who knows about LNA(low noise amplifier) please help me.I'm looking for LNA tutorial explaining every detail about low noise amplifier.Anyone that knows where i can find a tutorial please write the link.Thank you in advanced and i hope to help you in a similar situation
hi friends,
I am uploading my notes on RF on to the web. As a part of that i initially created a webpage on frequently used RF definitions. Please give me feedback on this topic whether i need to improve anymore... in terms of quality of tutorial, page appearance, etc., Next topic is on MIXERS..........

Awaiting for ur feedback..........
Thanks in Advance

Don't cross post

and don't hijack this thread!
those tutorials on www.rfic.co.uk are great, but the only inconvenience is that we must enter all the parameters by hand (i mean those parmameters for transistor's model). That is a long list and take much time to complete.
Odyseus! it's kind of u to up load us those projects come with your tutorials or those models of transistor that you used.
Finally, thanks a lot for all ur sharing.
hi
any thing wrong with the website?
hi can any one help me in designing of circualr polarized microstrip antennas. i need some material in this regard
Hi Cristos,
The objective is not to exceed a specified noise figure values while achieving the highest possible gain. But because maximum power gain and minimum noise figure cannot be achieved simultaneously, in most cases we need to trade off one to achieve our objectives.
LNA design is the last stage in designing an amplifier, if you already selected the proper device the next step is to Bias your device. For most small signal condition linear operation is required and this demand that device operates in class A mode or Bias your device midrange in the IcQ-VceQ characteristic curves. Next is to Measure the S-Parameters of the device at the selected Q-point. The next stage is to check the stability condition at particular frequency, sometimes you need to draw the input and output stability circles and determine the stable region, use Unilateral design if S12=0 or if S12≠0 compute the unilateral figure of merit and find the error range and if big otherwise use the bilateral analysis and design.
Next and the last stage is to design the input and output matching network based on LNA requirement where you define the noise figure or NF, Power Gain and the S-Parameter, you can find all this information from your device datasheets.
I'll be posting few tutorial in the future
Goodluck....
hi,
can any one help with antenna impedance matching with ansoft designer?
thanks alot
Oh Oh...
where schematic diagram ? ex : PDF format tutorial for FM receiver ? I wana find them now .
Can you link to me ?
Thank alot !
i'm new member !
