Z-Wave compared to Zigbee

Hi

Anyone has any opinion about how much better Z-Wave is compared to Zigbee?
Somebody claims that Z-Wave might kill Zigbee in home automation. I checked for the first time and the Z-Wave technology looks very good indeed.

It is pretty good but probably at this point only better than Zigbee because they got a head start. Zwave is still young and a lot of deives aren't out yet and some of the kinks still need to be worked out....

much more supplier for Zigbee than for Z-Wave. I think Zigbee will be the winner.

An excellent five year old thread. So much promise and yet nothing much has happened with either protocol has it ? Neither are 'mainstream are they ?
