Dear all,
I am using spectre to design up conversion mixer. It is quadrature input and single output mixer. Could anyone teach me how could I simulate Noise Power Desnsity (dBm/Hz)?
Another question. My up-conversion mixer is quadrature input and single output. In the test-bench, I use two Ports to generate quadrature input to the mixer. In the pnoise simulator setting, the Input Source could only set one port only. The Output I set voltage and select the single ended net in the simulation. After simulated, the NF value is 3dB higher or lower than the actual case?
Thanks

For this , you should do PNOISE analysis with PSS or QPSS ( if carriers are too far).
By this simulation, you can select carrier index to be measured noise signal around it.
There are good explanations in Spectre RF users guide..
