need help designing a transmitter at 49.86 MHz

I have to build a transmitter and receiver to communicate with eachother at 49.86MHz. I have to turn on/off buttons from 10 meters away. whats the best way to approach this.

First of all you need to clarify. Is both of your TX and RX need to work on the same frequency? What is the max distance between the frist TX and the second RX? The swicthing of the TX sections may be done by switching the final section of the TX final amp while switching off the RX frontend to avoid feedback.
