Hi all,
I want to model a transmission line in Cadence. There exists a mtline model in Cadence in which we can model any transmission line with given specifications usimg LMG tool. But it cannot model tlines more than 5 wavelength long.
CAN SOMEBODY POST HOW TO MODEL A LONG TRANSMISSION LINE IN CADENCE?
Thanks.

I haven't designed any transmission lines in cadence. But I am guessing, can you model two transmission lines ( less than 5 wavelengths long) each and join them.
If you want to design a Tx line of 7 wavelengths long, design two Tx lines with 3.5 wavelengths long and join them.
I might be wrong. Just a guess.
No. It is not possible. Cadence does not allow more than one instances of mtline in single netlist. SO cascading the mtline instances is not possible.
Has anyone modeled transmission line using cascaded RLCG circuits(with large number of such units)? Please share how accurate such modeling is.
