I am simulating an antenna in HFSS which uses N-type connector for feed.Does anyone have a tutorial on designing N-type connector in HFSS? What are the dimensions for n-type connector? What would be the material assignments?
You'll notice, that the external dimensions of N-connectors (the "face") are specified in MIL-Std-348, which can be downloaded from the internet. The internal dimensions are however up to the manufacturer, who has to achieve impedance matching over the intended frequency range. You can possibly find internal dimensions in manufacturer documents. The isolator is PTFE ("Teflon"), as with almost all RF connectors.
If you interface the connector to a 50 ohm cable, you can most likely ignore the connector influence in your design.
Also you can measure one N-type connector and get dimensions.
