Coated Microstrips References?

Hello,

I'm muddling around with microstrip equations. I have several papers on calculating "multilayer microstrips" and have some excellent results for an embedded microstrip.

My question is, does anyone have any references for microstrips coated with soldermask (Impedance, Effective Er, etc)? My results are suspect and at times quite a bit off when I use the embedded equations for coated. (My data in is ok).

I'm not asking for papers or books to be posted, only the reference.

On a side note, anyone with experience in this realm? Perhaps someone to compare notes? If you use multilayer equations for coated results, what is your 2D model like?

Basically I am using 3-4 sources. The Hammersted/Jensen Microstrip, Brian Wadells book, IEEE papers by Svacina, and Wan/Hoorfar.

I thought I was the only one involved in this. I have been derriving equations alot for microstrip covered with lossy dielectrics.
I have simple equations for dielectric attenation and a derrivation for Q which is also valid for lengths not equal to a multiple of kwarter wavelengths. My model is a quasi TEM analysis

You can use HFSS to simulate it.

Thanks for the responses. I know I can simulate it in quite a few things. But basically what I am doing is combining two hobbies. Signal Integrity and basic programming. I am dabbling with the programming aspect in VB (I know I should be using C) and Excel VBA.

With that said, I have some very good models and closed form equations for a variety of structures. I just seem to be stuck on a decent equation/method for coated microstrips. I suppose I could conformally map it, but I'm not really sure I need to go that route yet.
