PIN diode for patch antenna
I wanted to use pin diodes to control the polarization of a patch antenna operating at 2.45GHz. How /what are the criteria to look after? I've tried search in the Farrell website, but there are numerous of them.
Thanks a lot.
hi
would you please describe more?
how do you want to use PIN diode to control the polarization?
use it as switch?are as an attenuator to attenuate one feed?
maybe I can help you if you describe more
Hello,
Thanks for the reply. I have a patch antenna, in which the polarization can be controlled. ans yes, i plan to use the pIN diode to control its polarization. the patch has additional structure, when connected to the patch will make it linear polarized and when disconnected will make it circularly polarized. i'm thinking of controlling in electronically - which leads me to option of wither MEMS switch or PIN. and I plan to choose PIN.
do you have any recommendation on which PIN diode should I use?
thank again lot for the reply
hi
sorry for my delay.
please see pin diode selection guide in bellow link

hopefully it can help you
