Effect of capacitive loading in Patch?

Hi all
What is the effect pf capacitive loading for a simple rectangular patch antenna. Can it be used to enhance the bandwidth?
Any reference papers will be useful

I am not sure on band width but sure on reduced patch dimensions.

Capacitive loading can be used to increase the equivalent bandwith by adding frequency reconfigurability.
