Connecting diode to TL RFC

Hi all,

I know this might be a stupid question but I have no choice but to ask to it and get the understanding clear in my head.

I am biasing a diode by transmission line based choke (RFC). My question is does it matter if where the diode is soldered on the choke?

My arguments are: The length of the choke defines the Rf signal to be blocked and the diode attached at position A (in fig) is changing the effective length (less than lamda/4). And the RF signal to be blocked is defined by the length of the choke. So it might be that the RF signal (for which the choke is designed)will not be blocked.

Am I correct?

if RFC is present then need not depend on lambda/ etc. choke will take care of rejection.
