Dear all,
I am reading this article about WCDMA TX noise calculation at RX band and I am struggling a bit on RFIC noise calculation (page 5). My understanding based on the following:
RFIC:
Noise in RX=-165dBc/Hz, I have converted it to dBm/Hz as RFIC output power is 0.5dBm, thus -165dBc/Hz+0.5dBm=-164.5dBm/Hz
Now based on page 5 equation I get
Noise generated by RFIC at RX band=Pn_rfic+PAgain+10log(BW)-ISOtx-rx [Note: BW=3.8MHz, ISOtx-rx=44dB]
=-115.7dBm
Above value is 4.45dB higher- I am not clear where did I do wrong calculation (if any).
It would be appreciated if you could provide me your kind comments.
Thanks in advance

No reply at all!
In the document you posted I think there is a mistake in the equation calculating Ptx_noise = -114.86 dBm.
I don't know what values were used in the equation to arrive to that number.
