Zigbee antena modification, can it give affect?

Is it any special thing with zigbee antena?
let say if i change it to wire, does it effect the communication?
i have one zigbee module where the antena almost brake..
so im thinking to just solder it back.. can i do that?

Certainly you can solder it back. There is nothing special about a zigbee antenna. Probably just a 1/4 wave monopole.

I think that you could use any 2.4GHz antenna, like a WiFi antenna.
