Short stub as DC short
I want to use to use a short stub as DC short, as i study in literaure <lam/4 acts as dc short. I want to know what legnth of the stub to shor low frequencies compionent . plz help me
thanks
Your question is not clear.
For high freq, the short stub can be lamda/4, the length can be simulated.
For low freq, the short stub can be a inductor.
As you said for low frequency (DC short) inductor can be used, but what length shld be used in place of inductor to short DC as some manufacturere use quarter wave stub in surge connectors for grounding low frequency surges.
As said above, where you want to short DC but pass RF, you can use the quarter-wavelength shorting stub. For low frequencies you should design the "choke" to have its inductive reactance higher than the nominal line impedance for signals other than DC. The lower the frequency, the higher the choke reactance should be. Wire diameter should be rated for the DC current.
