problem with build wire path in IE3D

Hi everyone

I am having a problem with the build wire path option in IE3D. if the inserted vertices are in two different layers then it works fine but when i insert two vertices in the same layer ant try to build a wire with port on one side then it shows first segment is flat and is not suitable for a connection.It would be of great help if anyone suggests something
