Air core & Rod Core Inductor Design

Hi,
Does any one have any detail about inductor design using rod core..

I d like to design an AC line filter..LC type 15A rated 230VAC,
The typical inductor implementation is a wire wound around a ferrite core.operational frequency of interest is upto 100MHz
Can any one share me any idea..
