Simulate an oscillator with ADS

First construct the essential part of the circuit. Experiment until you get it operating.

This simulation shows the LLC tank, the cross-coupled mosfets, and their arrangement as a long-tailed pair. It is done in a different simulator but you can see it works in a similar fashion.

Oscillations go back and forth around the LLC loop. Some asymmetry is necessary in order to get oscillations going. If oscillations do not start, then try increasing current through the bottom transistor (or mosfet).

The values produce 7.3 GHz (which is the frequency referred to in your text).

This may be enough to help you get through the rest of the lesson.
