Poor Covergence in Computing Port Dispersion
What is the significance of the message Fast sweep setup. proccess hf3d: Poor convergence in computing port dispersion?
Thank you

Convergence is a concept in simulators. Are you using a simulator? When it evaluates your circuit, it runs the values through calculations, and repeats the process, until it converges on a stable output (for that timeframe). Then the simulator goes on to calculate the next timeframe.
If it cannot reach convergence, then it creates an error.
'Poor' convergence suggests your circuit (or settings you chose) is causing incorrect results.
Thank you Bradthred. Does this affect the result i get, for example, does it affect the S11 result?
Perhaps my reply was about a different type of convergence. That kind of error is liable to cause the simulation to halt.
However your convergence problem may be in attempting to calculate S11.
Try starting out with a simpler circuit which does not cause the error. Change a value, or add a component, one at a time, until you have your desired circuit.
Hello All,
I have a problem when simulating my structure using HFSS. It keeps giving me the warning : poor convergence in computing port despersion.
When i do simulations, i do not find major effects to the changes i add to antenna structure. Can this be due to the poor convergence in computing port despersion? does it prevent HFSS from finding the correct results? how can i get rid of this problem?
Thank you
Kawther
