1dB compression point and jamming signals

Hi,

I?ve heard that the 1dB compression point of LNAs can play a role against jamming signals. Shall this 1dB point be higher or lower? Are there any articles about this issue?

P1dB is commonly specified for all radio RXs and discussed in every book/article about radio RX.

Ideal case is infinity.

P1dB of the LNA should be higher as possible, but keeping in the same time the LNA noise figure (and the cost) low.
In an RF system, band filters could help the LNA to have lower P1dB, if the jammers are out-of-band.
If the jammers are in-band, only higher P1dB can help.

Jamming sensitivity is not depended on P1dB Compression Point only ..Non-linearity ( in general speaking ) is figure of merit of an LNA but "the Modulation" is more important than this.
Coding is also important, Spread Spectrum technique has been developed for that purpose. So you got an equation with many variables and unknowns..
