hi for all
I want to know how to assign a lumped element in HFSS.
in the other words, what is the size for the rectangle that I should use it even for the series or the shunt element
I am trying to simulate a 3-way power divider. (the attachment)
In that one the Left-Handed TL was used, where LHTL unit cell comprises a shunt inductance and series capacitance.(Fig. 2)
any help please...
Best Regards

Hi!
What for do you need a lumped element here?
(( however, this may lead you into the right direction: to insert a lumped element, just draw a sheet-object (rectangle) where two borders connect to whatevers is supposed to do so. Then right-click and select (i think) assign boundary > lumped element. (if this isnt fully correct just try similar options). Then HFSS will ask for an integration line. Select "New Line" and draw line (within your sheet) from one connecting border to the other. ))
PS: Don't make these sheets too small!
good luck
This 3 way divider has very bad output VSWR!
