reg ie3d power handling calculation
i want to calculate the power hadling capacity of an antenna by using ie3d simulator. can anyone of u tell me the procedure? or any other software is there to do this?
bye from,
kbmani
Hi, KBMani:
I think you need to determine how high current or field you can allow on your materials for the antenna. Then, you try to find it out on IE3D to see how much power you can put into the antenna with the specified current or field limits.
Best regards,
dear jian,
ya. but i want the procedure to calculate. help me to do that.
with thanks,

Hi, Kbmani:
The procedure is the following:
1. You need to decide how high current or field you can allow.
2. Simulate the structure on IE3D.
3. Display the current and near field with some specified excitaitons.
4. Then, see the current and field density.
5. Then, by comparing the current and field density with the limits, you can predict how big an excitation you should use to excite the antenna.
Does it sound reasonable to you?
Best regards,
hi jian
can you give us examp. with nombers? it will be better.

Hi, Plasma:
Thank you for your suggestion. I will try to create an example for it. Regards.
