Thank you for all of your replies and comments,
I would be happy to read your comments about the following:
Instead of simulating transmission between 2 antennas, I have chosen a comperative method for the group delay computation:
1. Placing a number of E-field probes in different azimuth and elevation angles (same radius) at the antenna far-field zone.
2. Post processing the results and computing the group delay in each of the probes, thus having the group delay variation between different angles of arrival.

There is lot of discussion going on group delay measuement

A teasing question for me is that group delay is associated with S11 or S21. If it is associated with S21 then why HFSS and CSt can measure group delay while simulating a single antenna
